What to expect during your procedure
When performing submental liposuction for his patients, Dr. Rahban aims to remove fatty deposits on the chin, neck and jowls, directly addressing the excess volume while restoring a smooth and well-defined contour.
To begin, he will administer general anesthesia or IV sedation to ensure that you’re comfortable throughout surgery. He will then use a micro-cannula to perform tumescent liposuction. With this approach, he will inject a special solution into the area to swell the fat cells, allowing him to isolate and remove them with ease. If you also suffer from sagging skin, Dr. Rahban may recommend a neck lift as well. A neck lift can address many aesthetic issues that submental liposuction cannot, such as lax tissue, vertical bands and deep wrinkles.
